You do not have to remove bolts and find a way to hold the bike up while you are doing it! The body is stainless steel, NOT aluminum. The ends have a 1/2" thread and are black oxided steel, NOT aluminum. Aluminum threads DO NOT last and are dangerous! That means your stock bolts and nuts are retained and the locking element of the nuts will still be engaged.
